Description
The Paloma Chest is built from solid oak with carved front doors and interior storage. The design reflects decorative traditions of the late 1930s and early 1940s, where modernist furniture often incorporated elements of Arts and Crafts construction and Art Nouveau ornament.
The carved panels depict a mirrored pair of doves surrounded by botanical motifs. The cabinet can be used in bedrooms, hallways, or living spaces and pairs naturally with the Paloma Bed and Nightstand.
Materials & Construction
The frame, legs, and doors are built from kiln-dried solid oak. Flat side panels, the back, and the inset top panel use commercial-grade plywood to reduce movement and prevent splitting over time.
The cabinet doors are fitted with soft-close hinges and open with cast brass handles. Inside, an adjustable oak shelf provides flexible storage.
All exterior surfaces are finished in Sea Mist multi-step lacquer by Akzo Nobel.
Crafted in Indonesia by furniture makers experienced in solid hardwood construction.
