El Tiempo Lounge Chair
Description
The El Tiempo Lounge Chair is built from solid oak with a circular structural frame and upholstered seat. The name comes from the Spanish word for time.
The chair reflects influences from the modernist furniture movement of the 1930s, when designers began exploring curved structural forms in wood furniture. Its circular oak structure forms the visual and structural center of the design.
Materials & Construction
The frame and arms are constructed from kiln-dried solid oak. Internal structural components use plywood support panels reinforced with solid mahogany cleats.
The seat uses sinuous spring suspension combined with multi-density foam for support.
The chair is upholstered in Sunbrella performance fabric, with an optional top grain leather upholstery option.
All exposed wood surfaces are finished in Modern Oak multi-step lacquer by Akzo Nobel.
Crafted in Indonesia by furniture makers experienced in solid hardwood construction.
