Description
The Paloma Storage Cabinet is built from solid oak with carved lower doors and a reeded glass upper hutch. The design reflects decorative furniture traditions of the late 1930s and early 1940s, when modernist forms often incorporated elements of Arts and Crafts construction and Art Nouveau ornament.
The carved panels depict doves set within botanical motifs, a detail that appears throughout the Paloma collection. The cabinet provides enclosed storage below and display behind reeded glass above, making it suitable for use in bedrooms, kitchens, studies, or living spaces.
Materials & Construction
The frame, doors, feet, and hutch structure are built from kiln-dried solid oak. Flat side panels, the top, and the back use commercial-grade plywood to reduce movement and prevent splitting over time.
The upper cabinet is fitted with tempered reeded glass panels set within a solid oak frame. Inside are two adjustable shelves secured with metal shelf hardware. The lower cabinet contains one adjustable shelf.
The doors are fitted with concealed soft-close hinges and cast brass handles. A rear wood disk allows concealed wire access when needed.
All visible wood surfaces are finished in multi-step lacquer by Akzo Nobel.
Crafted in Indonesia by furniture makers experienced in solid hardwood construction.
