NOR Nightstand

Description

The NOR Nightstand is a solid oak bedside cabinet designed to accompany the NOR and St. Lucia beds. The piece reflects the biomorphic influence found in modernist furniture of the 1930s.

Smaller than the NOR Double Nightstand, this version offers a more compact footprint while maintaining the open architectural structure of the design. A single drawer sits above an open shelf, framed by the carved side panels that define the NOR collection.

Materials & Construction

The frame, carved side panels, legs, and drawer front are constructed from kiln-dried solid oak.

Internal panels use commercial-grade plywood to reduce wood movement and prevent splitting over time.

The drawer box is crafted from solid mahogany with English dovetail joinery and Hettich soft-close slides.

The open lower shelf provides accessible bedside storage and includes rear wire access for lamps or charging devices.

All visible wood surfaces are finished in Modern Oak multi-step lacquer by Akzo Nobel.

Crafted in Indonesia by furniture makers experienced in solid hardwood construction.
